Sodexo is currently seeking a dedicated Food Operations Manager to join their team at the United States Marine Corps facility located at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in Yuma, Arizona. This pivotal role reports directly to the General Manager and focuses on the day-to-day management of culinary operations within one of the Mess Halls. The Food Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality food service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and fostering a positive work culture that promotes employee engagement and client satisfaction.
In this role, the manager will utilize Sodexo's proprietary tools and programs to maintain strong client, customer, and staff relationships. Effective implementation of these tools is critical for achieving financial objectives and ensuring account retention. The position requires managing resources such as equipment and inventory to meet operational standards and regulatory requirements. The Food Operations Manager will develop and execute plans, projects, and budgets aligned with both client and Sodexo’s strategic goals, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of the food service operation. - Have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
- Have a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
- Have high volume food service experience
- Have contract food service experience, preferred
- Have experience managing staff in a union environment, preferred
- Can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and have a passion for a high level of customer service
- Prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
