We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Food and Beverage Manager to join our award-winning hospitality team. This role specifically oversees Palma, the hotel’s signature Italian-Californian restaurant located at the lobby level. Palma is celebrated for blending the best of Italian and Californian culinary traditions in a lively and welcoming setting. The Food and Beverage Manager will lead all food and beverage service operations, ensuring every aspect meets the high service standards that the Santa Monica Proper Hotel is known for. This position entails recruiting and nurturing top talent, creating efficient staff schedules, implementing comprehensive training programs, and managing food and beverage supervisors directly. Daily front-of-house operations require precise oversight to uphold impeccable service while presenting a dynamic and engaging environment for guests. The ideal candidate will possess over three years of leadership experience in luxury hospitality, with a strong focus on operational excellence and service quality. They will have a proven record of guiding teams to consistently provide outstanding guest experiences and a keen understanding of financial stewardship in food and beverage operations.   • Minimum 5 years of progressive F&B management experience in luxury hotels or high-end restaurants
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role managing large teams
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Alcohol service certification (RBS/ABC specific to state requirements)
  • Manager's Food Handler's Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, or related field
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capacity for frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to comply with alcohol and labor laws
  • Experience with managing multiple outlets and banquet operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
