Currently, SSC Services for Education is seeking Floor Technician professionals for immediate full-time and part-time positions at its DYouville location, 320 Porter Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14201. This role offers an hourly wage of $16.80 and includes a flexible schedule with varying days and hours, details of which will be discussed during the interview process. The Floor Technician plays a vital role in maintaining, restoring, and enhancing the quality of various floor surfaces within educational facilities using a variety of industrial floor care equipment. This role demands hands-on technical expertise in floor maintenance techniques such as stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing for hard-surface floors. The technician is also responsible for operating automated cleaning equipment to maintain large floor surface areas effectively, and performing carpet care tasks including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, spot treatment, extractions, and vacuuming. The position requires physical stamina for frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
