As a Floating General Manager, you will be temporarily assigned to manage individual properties in the absence of the permanent General Manager due to off days, vacations, or other absences. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to assume full property leadership responsibilities on short notice. Additionally, you may receive short-term assignments to assist with local marketing, property staff training, and quality assurance initiatives to improve service standards across all properties in your market. The Floating General Manager role demands a keen understanding of hotel operations, guest service excellence, and the ability to drive financial performance. Acting as the on-site manager, you will oversee daily operations including front office management, maintenance oversight, guest relations, and compliance with safety standards. • Minimum 3 years’ experience in management and supervisory roles
• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and a functioning vehicle
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to read and interpret various reports and hotel information
• Proficiency in computer systems related to front office management
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Ability to work extended hours and in stressful situations
• Must be physically able to stand for 8-hour shifts, lift up to 25 pounds, and adjust to various indoor and outdoor conditions
• Willingness to travel at least 90% of the time within the market, including overnight stays
