The Flight Nurse position at CoxHealth South is a critical role within the 1822 Air Care Ground Unit SGF department. This role entails providing expert medical care and rapid transport to critically ill or injured patients within an air medical environment, specifically using helicopters. The Flight Nurse must maintain advanced skills relevant to this specialized practice and adhere to departmental protocols and industry standards. The role requires collaboration with aviation professionals including pilots and mechanics, as well as medical direction from the Cox Air Care Medical Director. This position demands a high level of competency in patient care in a dynamic and elevated risk environment. The Flight Nurse is expected to possess excellent communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills, along with flexibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The nurse will work rotating shifts, providing round-the-clock coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM. This position is ideal for registered nurses with substantial experience in critical care or emergency departments, especially those with previous flight nurse or pre-hospital experience.   • RN license active in the state of Missouri
  • Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) certification within 2 years of hire
