The role of Flight Instructor at FlightSafety International is pivotal in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence. This position involves delivering exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction aligned with stringent aviation regulations and FlightSafety's training principles. Flight Instructors are responsible for conducting pilot ground and simulator training tailored to clients who are undergoing core, specialty, or enrichment training courses. They are tasked with developing and preparing comprehensive training materials that align with the applicable curriculum and cater to individual client needs. A critical aspect of the role includes evaluating trainee progress, recommending qualifications or additional training, and maintaining precise training records to support the clients’ success in achieving their training objectives. Flight Instructors must identify and address client training challenges proactively, seeking assistance when necessary to ensure smooth execution of training sessions. Maintaining current Instructor qualifications according to regulatory requirements is mandatory. This role requires a deep understanding of aviation safety standards, aviation regulations, effective class management, and facilitation skills. Instructors must be capable of providing first-level customer service and show a willingness to receive feedback for continuous development. Physically, this role demands certain abilities such as manipulating controls within the simulator, moving between instructor stations and classrooms, and safely exiting simulator devices in various conditions. The instructor must possess good vision abilities and physical strength to manage tasks involving equipment handling and maneuvering within the simulator environment.   • Must be able and willing to participate in Flightsafety's DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program
  • an unrestricted ATP certificate, or an ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License
  • if no ATP, must meet the requirements of 14 CFR part 61.153
  • 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation
  • a minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating
  • preferred: FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training experience
  • preferred: 2,500 hours of total flight time
