Within this dynamic and mission-driven health system, the Flight For Life ground ambulance service stands as a critical component delivering emergency medical care across the Mountain Region. The role of ambulating operating personnel involves ensuring safe and efficient operation of the ground ambulances, maintaining vehicle readiness, and providing advanced life support (ALS) or basic life support (BLS) patient care. This position supports clinical teams, emergency departments, and the business office by offering skilled and compassionate care during emergency responses and transport. This role is situated at St. Anthony Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center located in Lakewood, Colorado. As a state-of-the-art medical campus and home base for Flight For Life Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is equipped with advanced trauma facilities, including trauma rooms and a dedicated field-to-surgery suite that operates 24/7 to support life-saving care for critically ill and injured patients. The hospital's recognition includes the prestigious Magnet designation, awarded to only 10% of hospitals worldwide, along with numerous other accreditations and awards from respected healthcare organizations.
The Ambulance Operator role is a vital position requiring precision and professionalism in operation, patient care, and compliance with vehicle maintenance schedules.                 - High school diploma or GED
 - Current Colorado State EMT certification
 - Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
 - IV certification within two months of hire
 - Emergency Vehicle Operator course completion within six months of hire
 - Valid Colorado driver’s license with no moving violations for past two years
 - Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within twelve months of hire for BLS transports
 - Ability to exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally
 - Ability to work variable shifts
