This position is for a Flight Coordinator based in Anchorage, Alaska, with a starting pay rate of $26.75 per hour. Candidates must reside within Alaska. The role requires transfer capabilities across the entire GMR footprint, reflecting the dynamic nature of air medical transport coordination. As a Flight Coordinator, the individual will play a critical role in the communication and operational aspects of air transport. This includes managing radio, telephone, and computer systems to notify appropriate flight personnel, and ensuring all preflight risk assessments are thoroughly reviewed and confirmed. It is essential to have situational awareness of current and forecasted weather conditions along flight routes to facilitate safe flight operations.
The Flight Coordinator acts as a vital link between ground operations and airborne medical teams by relaying critical flight information to the Pilot in Command and Operational Control Specialists.
