The company is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated First Officer to join its Flight Operations team. This essential role reports directly to the Chief Pilot and is instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft. The First Officer supports the Captain and the entire flight crew by employing Crew Resource Management techniques designed to enhance communication, situational awareness, problem-solving, and decision-making during all phases of flight. The position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including conducting thorough preflight and post-flight inspections, assisting with necessary paperwork, and operating the aircraft with meticulous attention to company policy, federal regulations, and standard operating procedures.
As a First Officer, the candidate will engage in a high level of coordination with the Captain and other crew members to guarantee the safety and comfort of all onboard. The role demands a deep understanding of flight systems, weather conditions, and emergency protocols, as well as the ability to identify and respond to unsafe conditions both on the ground and in the air. This position requires a professional with substantial flight experience and a strong commitment to operational excellence. Candidates will benefit from familiarity with FAR Part 121 operations, although prior experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Ideal applicants possess essential certifications, including an FAA Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot Certificate or Restricted Multi-Engine Airline Pilot Certificate, alongside a demonstrated minimum of 2,500 total flight hours, with a preference for those exceeding 4,000 hours. Military pilots are welcomed, with flexible requirements relating to turbine and PIC hours, provided they meet the general hour thresholds. Additionally, candidates must hold a current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate and FCC Radio License, and must be eligible to travel internationally without restriction. Security clearance is also mandatory, entailing a successful 10-year background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid U.S. passport.
The work environment is dynamic and demanding, requiring the First Officer to perform duties inside and outside the cockpit amid a wide range of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures. Physical demands include the ability to walk stairs, work in confined areas for extended periods, and lift up to 60 pounds.
