This job opportunity is for a position dedicated to maintaining cleanliness and order in a variety of institutional settings including commercial, retail, airports, hospitality, healthcare facilities, convention centers, and arenas. As a member of the cleaning and facilities team, the selected candidate will engage in extensive cleaning duties that cover a wide array of facility types. Beyond basic cleaning, the job requires maintenance of furniture, including cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered items, and draperies. Physical tasks such as lifting chairs and tables, handling cleaning chemicals, and operating equipment like burnishers, scrubbers, pressure washers, and lifts are integral parts of the role.
This position also entails assisting facility managers with scheduling and administrative duties, ensuring smooth operation, and providing supervisory support during shifts, which includes managing employee issues as they arise. The work environment is dynamic and occasionally includes exposure to high or precarious places, fumes, and loud noise, requiring vigilance and adherence to safety protocols. Physically, the job demands frequent standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and consistent performance under standard and occasional variable conditions are critical.
