The Facilities Technician position at Fellowship Bible Church is a full-time role designed to support the church’s daily activities by ensuring that the physical environment is clean, orderly, and well-prepared for all events and services. This position involves a variety of tasks including general housekeeping duties, setting up furniture and equipment for events, and assisting with minor maintenance or related projects as needed. Within this important role, the Facilities Technician will play a critical part in enhancing the overall experience of church members and visitors by maintaining a welcoming and comfortable space. The Facilities Technician is responsible for cleaning a range of areas including worship spaces, offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, and general building areas. This ensures that all parts of the church are kept in a pristine and inviting condition. Additionally, the position involves the physical setup and teardown of event spaces, which requires the ability to move tables, chairs, and other equipment efficiently based on event calendars. In addition to indoor responsibilities, the Facilities Technician also handles outdoor upkeep such as emptying trash cans and picking up litter from the grounds and parking lots to maintain a clean church exterior. Alongside these duties, the Facilities Technician reports directly to the Facilities Manager and must be able to follow daily instructions accurately to support smooth church operations. The role may occasionally require lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds and involves both standing and walking throughout the workday. Prospective candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Arkansas driver’s license with a clean driving record, as driving church vehicles may be a part of the job.
