The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the home to a five-star hotel standard, including thorough cleaning routines, intricate laundry care, and assistance with household maintenance projects. The candidate must be a team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, as collaboration with other household staff and the long-term Executive Housekeeper is an essential aspect of this role. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can anticipate needs, prioritize tasks effectively, and stay organized in a dynamic environment. Flexibility to adapt and change direction based on the principal's schedule and household needs is critical. The housekeeper must take direction well, operate with humility and respect for the household hierarchy, and have a professional, drama-free demeanor at all times. Reporting directly to the Estate Manager for job-related matters and to the Executive Housekeeper for daily duties, this role requires someone hardworking and honest, interested in a long-term commitment with the family. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday with specific daily hours, and the housekeeper will professionally manage cleaning, laundry, ironing, minor garment repairs, and maintenance of fine furniture and specialty surfaces. Duties also include handling pets by dog walking and cleanup and running errands when requested. The spirit of peace, discretion, and professionalism must continually be maintained in the home, ensuring the privacy and comfort of the principals are preserved. Compensation for this role is very competitive, offering an annual salary of $75,000 plus an annual bonus. Additional benefits include three paid sick days, three paid holidays, and ten paid vacation days. Uniforms are provided, and the household expects professionalism in both demeanor and appearance. The ideal candidate will have stellar references, clear and fluent English communication skills, and the physical ability to perform the requirements of the job, including climbing stairs several times daily and lifting up to 20 pounds.
