The Host Staff role at Shaw's Crab House is an integral position responsible for creating an inviting and organized first impression for guests. Hosts warmly welcome guests as they arrive, efficiently manage the flow of seating, and ensure all guests feel valued from the moment they enter until their departure. This position requires answering telephones, handling reservations, taking messages, and maintaining accurate guest counts and wait times. In addition, hosts may assist with coat check duties as needed. Working as a host involves multitasking in a high-energy environment, requiring excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage guests' needs with patience and tact. Candidates should be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be able to safely stand, walk, and move throughout the restaurant during their shifts.
