The Executive Chef role at Maris Grove presents a unique opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences. This position comes with a generous $5,000 sign-on bonus and a competitive starting salary commensurate with experience, beginning at $75,000 per year. The role requires a seasoned chef with a proven track record of success and a strong hospitality background. As Executive Chef, you will lead a team of award-winning chefs and dining management professionals dedicated to crafting innovative, chef-inspired culinary creations. The signature menu dining programs emphasize from-scratch cooking and high-quality, fresh meals that cater to the needs and tastes of the senior community. In this leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of food purchasing, receiving, storage, and preparation, ensuring efficiency and adherence to budgetary parameters. Maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety is critical, as is compliance with all federal and state food handling regulations, including Health Department and HAACP guidelines. You will be responsible for the direct supervision of food production staff and the implementation and management of core menus and recipe systems, supported by back-of-house computer systems. The Executive Chef will work closely with the Unit Manager to address any issues related to food production, preparation, or presentation, ensuring that all meals meet optimum quality standards. Building strong relationships with residents through dining room visits and meetings is also a key component of this role, as it fosters ongoing feedback and enhances the overall dining experience. This position requires a candidate with a minimum of three years of executive chef experience, preferably with fine dining expertise, along with knowledge of a la carte and catering trends. Competency with PC software and POS systems including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is also essential.
