As a key figure in the culinary department, the Executive Chef will lead the development and execution of menus that incorporate local and seasonal ingredients, thereby elevating the dining experience. The role requires not only advanced culinary skills but also strong business acumen, including oversight of purchasing, inventory control, and cost management. Candidates should be prepared to maintain high standards of food safety and quality, deliver ongoing employee coaching and performance evaluation, and engage actively in enhancing the customer experience. - Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training
- Extensive catering experience considered a plus
- Experience with high volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable
- Experience with institutional and batch cooking
- Hands-on chef experience required
- Knowledge of food and catering trends with emphasis on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control and presentation
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, E-mail and Internet
- Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
- ServSafe certification preferred but not mandatory
