The position of Events Manager is a hybrid role based in Hunt Valley, MD, operating within the Strategic Partnerships & Ventures department. The Events Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Director of Events and the events team by managing and executing a variety of lacrosse-related events ranging from national competitions and ceremonies to regional programs and special initiatives. This role requires a highly organized and energetic individual who is hands-on and detail-oriented, ensuring seamless event planning and execution. The Events Manager is responsible for managing timelines, logistics, registration, and internal coordination, all while embedding innovation and inclusivity in event strategies. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced event planners who are passionate about expanding access to lacrosse and nurturing the sport's growth with equity and diversity at the forefront. A typical day includes building event schedules, coordinating with venue partners, managing participant registration, collaborating with marketing and sponsorship teams, and overseeing volunteer coordination. The role also involves administrative tasks like maintaining operating procedures, tracking event metrics, and developing recap reports to improve future events. Travel may be required up to 30% of the time, including overnight stays, with flexibility needed for working nights or weekends during event periods. Candidates should have 2 to 3 years of experience in event planning or management, preferably within sports, entertainment, hospitality, or non-profit sectors. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, and an enthusiastic, proactive attitude are vital.
