The Event Coordinator will join a dynamic team within the catering and events department of this iconic resort. This full-time position, offering a pay rate of $24 per hour based on specialized experience, requires availability across various shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays to meet client and business needs. The role involves supporting several Catering & Event Managers by assisting with the organization, planning, and coordination of numerous hospitality events from initial client contact through execution and post-event follow-up. Key responsibilities encompass handling timely communications with both internal departments and external clients, managing phone and email inquiries in a professional and courteous manner, and entering event information into booking systems such as Delphi.fdc. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for organizing VIP guest arrangements, coordinating site visits, and preparing crucial documentation including Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), group resumes, post-event reports, menus, and floor plans. Collaboration with affiliate groups, delivering superior client service, problem-solving, and ensuring high-quality event standards form integral parts of the role. Further duties include participating in customer site inspections and assisting with the sales process as needed.
