Currently, MxD is recruiting for the position of Events and Operations Coordinator. This role is vital to the Corporate Events team, focused on the seamless planning and execution of internal, partner, and third-party events hosted at the MxD facility. The coordinator ensures that event logistics, technology setups, and visitor experiences run smoothly, supporting the organization’s mission to provide a premium and professional environment for all visitors.
The Events and Operations Coordinator is a hands-on position requiring a tech-savvy, detail-oriented individual with a customer-first mindset. Responsibilities include managing audiovisual equipment, coordinating meeting room setups, assisting presenters with virtual platform technologies such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and maintaining event management systems. The role also acts as a key liaison to MxD members and external stakeholders, helping coordinate meeting schedules and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Working closely with vendors, internal staff, and guests, the coordinator tracks inventory related to event and AV equipment, organizes furniture layouts, ensures signage and supplies are in place, and manages vendor orders or rentals as needed. Flexibility is essential as the role may require support for events during early mornings or evenings. The compensation range for this full-time, onsite position is $62,000 to $72,000 USD annually. - Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, communications, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- 2-4 years of experience in event coordination, corporate meeting support, or hospitality services
- Solid working knowledge of AV equipment, meeting room technology, and video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex)
- Familiarity with event management tools (e.g., Mazevo, Envoy, or similar scheduling/visitor software)
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset
- Ability to interface with high-profile individuals
- Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs for event setup
- Must be available to work onsite
