The role of Events and Ministry Coordinator at Apartment Life, also referred to internally as Coordinator of Concierge Services, is a part-time position designed for a dedicated individual who thrives in a community-oriented environment. This role is based onsite at a residential community located in San Marcos, TX, where the coordinator will live onsite with the compensation package offered through discounted rent rather than a traditional salary. The coordinator is expected to work approximately 15-18 hours per week, serving as the main resource for organizing and executing the community's event programming and ministry services starting from January 2026. This position is unique in that it combines event planning, hospitality, and ministry service into one dynamic role. The Events and Ministry Coordinator is entrusted with the responsibility of orchestrating a diverse calendar of programs including high-end VIP events, regular resident activities, welcoming new residents, and delivering elevated acts of care that make each resident feel valued and appreciated. They work closely with their supervisor to develop monthly schedules that meet the distinct needs of the community, ensuring all events are executed with excellence and contribute to a positive resident experience. The coordinator plays a key role in being the "smiling face" of the community by providing personalized and warm interactions that foster loyalty and a strong sense of belonging among residents. Their responsibilities extend beyond planning to include maintaining active engagement both in-person and through social media platforms to strengthen the community's online reputation. They also monitor program effectiveness, report outcomes, and maintain consistent communication with onsite staff and the Apartment Life supervisor. They will manage relationships with local churches, non-profits, and businesses to complement the community’s service goals. Integrity, professionalism, and excellent communication skills are paramount as the role requires managing funds, clubroom access, and sensitive resident information with the utmost care. The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning, marketing, and social media, with a background in outreach or ministry considered advantageous though not mandatory. Education requirements are flexible, with a preference for bachelor’s degree holders. The candidate must be capable of performing physical tasks such as using stairs, bending, sitting, standing, and carrying up to 25 pounds. A valid driver’s license, liability insurance, and access to reliable transportation are essential for connecting with vendors and managing event logistics.
