This particular opening is for an Event Services Manager role that entails a supervisory position responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility operations related to events. The role involves significant client interaction, from planning and organizing meetings and events to maintaining excellent communication and a strong client relationship. The Event Services Manager will have a direct impact on the success of events and the reputation of the facility as a premium venue. The manager will supervise and assist in hiring and training event services staff, coordinate activities with service contractors, and serve as the primary liaison between clients and facility departments. They will prepare estimates, monitor billing, and maintain thorough event records. Maintaining the proper image of the facility and fostering positive public relations with patrons and staff are key elements of this job. The role also requires monitoring in-house events, managing facility set-ups when necessary, and attending relevant planning and organizational meetings.   • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • 2-4 years related public facility management experience
  • Knowledge of principles of facility management, services and equipment
  • Ability to supervise and train staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD design software preferred
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and interact with all levels of staff
