The Event Planning Manager position is a pivotal role within the sales and catering team of Thompson Houston. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment focused on crafting memorable social and corporate events. The manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle of event planning, from initial client consultation through to flawless event execution, ensuring every celebration is personalized and seamless. This includes weddings, galas, special celebrations, and corporate functions, each requiring close collaboration with clients, meeting and event planners, and multiple hotel departments. The successful candidate will handle a variety of responsibilities such as administering detailed sales and event agreements, managing food, beverage and audio/visual specifications, coordinating room blocks, billing instructions, and conducting final reviews to ensure every detail is addressed prior to the event. Serving as the primary onsite contact, the Event Planning Manager will lead operations during event days to guarantee that all aspects of logistics and client expectations are met or exceeded.
