We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Event Services Manager to join our team. This full-time position offers competitive compensation and opportunities for professional growth within an innovative luxury hospitality company. The Event Services Manager will be responsible for orchestrating all aspects of event coordination, working closely with conference personnel and the room reservations team to successfully plan and execute group meetings, conferences, and social events. This role demands a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple components such as room blocks, food and beverage arrangements, meeting room layouts, billing, and event specifications.
As an integral part of the team, the Event Services Manager will ensure that all client requirements are clearly documented and fulfilled, contractual agreements are communicated and enforced, and financial procedures relating to guest payments and deposits are accurately processed. Collaboration with culinary operations is key to designing custom menus tailored to each event, while thorough documentation and effective communication with all hotel departments ensure seamless event execution. The position also includes facilitating site visits, conducting pre- and post-event meetings, and serving as the primary on-site contact during events to promptly address any issues that arise.
Success in this role requires strong strategic leadership and the ability to foster engagement and alignment throughout the organization. The ideal candidate exhibits excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can effectively prioritize and organize complex tasks in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. Familiarity with industry software platforms such as CI/TY or Delphi, along with knowledge of legal and contractual agreements, is essential to manage event details proficiently.
The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, with no private offices and varying schedules that may exceed 40 hours per week based on business demands. Physical demands include the ability to move and handle moderate weights and travel as necessary to support event operations. This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a company that values creativity, accountability, and the pursuit of excellence while offering a robust benefits package including Marriott employee discounts worldwide, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-sponsored life insurance, disability coverage, tuition reimbursement, a 401(k) plan with discretionary company matching, and an employee assistance program.
