The role of the Events & Restaurant Manager at Bedford Hall is integral to both the operational and sales success of the restaurant. This position primarily focuses on building sales by creating, managing, and overseeing parties and special events while simultaneously managing daily operations to ensure smooth service throughout the day. The manager will be responsible for coordinating with various teams to maintain high standards throughout the venue and will have a direct hand in enhancing the customer experience from the moment inquiries are made about private parties through to the event execution and follow-up.
The Events & Restaurant Manager will assist in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising of hostesses and servers while maintaining inventory control for office and front-of-house supplies. A key component of the role involves management duties such as floor operations during peak lunch and dinner service, hosting pre-shift meetings, and maintaining intranet calendars and social media channels, ensuring that all promotional materials and event information are accurate and timely. The Manager will also handle guest feedback by monitoring review platforms and responding to concerns, thus strengthening guest satisfaction and retention. Additionally, networking within the local community to boost sales and enhance the restaurant’s visibility forms part of the manager’s responsibilities.
