Events typically happen over weekends with potential set-up days on Thursdays or Fridays. Contractors are independent, setting their schedules by selecting events they want to work. Though this role demands dedication including potentially long work hours (daily shifts can exceed 12 hours with tournament weekend commitments upwards of 30 hours), it offers an exciting opportunity to observe live sports while actively participating in event production. As an Event Contractor for BallerTV, your primary responsibilities include receiving, handling, and setting up all necessary streaming equipment including cameras and marketing assets at event courts or fields. You will ensure that each event’s stream operates smoothly by monitoring the technology during live games and addressing any technical challenges in real time. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and effective communication with the BallerTV team throughout the event. Besides hands-on experience with new streaming technologies and software, this role offers exposure to high-energy sports environments and the chance to be part of a pioneering team transforming youth sports media. This position offers a starting pay of at least $16 per hour, varying based on location, with work spanning flexible hours that can start as early as 6 AM and finish as late as 10 PM. Contractors may be required to travel up to 40 miles one way to attend events. Given the physical demands including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects, this job is suited for motivated individuals with a positive attitude towards teamwork and sports.
