The role of Event Captain at Groovin' Gourmets is a dynamic and key position that demands leadership, organizational expertise, and exceptional customer service abilities. As an Event Captain, you will be responsible for safely transporting food, drinks, and equipment to various event venues, managing the entire lifecycle of an event from set-up through serving meals and beverages to take-down. This role requires carrying out the Sales Event Coordinator's plan for each event, adapting logistics to different venues to optimize service flow effectively. Leading a dedicated team consisting of co-captains, servers, and bartenders, the Event Captain ensures excellent communication with event hosts and proactively resolves any issues that may arise, maintaining a smooth and enjoyable event experience for all guests. This position calls for an individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, can multitask under pressure, and pivot quickly between urgent matters without losing focus on overall event execution.
