The role of the Event Assistant at Sequoyah State Park Lodge is a full-time, regular position under the supervision of the Events Manager. The starting pay for this position is $15.00 per hour, with a potential increase to $15.45 per hour after the successful completion of a one-year trial period. The Events Assistant is responsible for preparing meeting rooms by setting up tables, chairs, linens, stages, and audio/visual equipment, including handling outdoor setups and stage building when necessary. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to respond efficiently to guest needs throughout the duration of events. Beyond setup duties, the Events Assistant also performs general housekeeping tasks within the event spaces, such as sweeping, mopping, trash maintenance, and linen services. When meeting rooms are not in use, the assistant carries out deep cleaning efforts to maintain a pristine environment, conducive to hosting high-quality events.
