The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services plays a critical role in plasma center operations. This role involves assessing donor eligibility, managing donor safety, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the Plasma Center Manager and under the medical oversight of the Center Physician, the Medical Support Specialist ensures that donors meet all medical and regulatory criteria before donation, manages any adverse events that may occur, and communicates any laboratory test results that may affect donor eligibility. This position requires a deep understanding of plasma collection regulations and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols. The specialist also supports employee vaccination programs and handles employee health incidents, including COVID-19 pandemic coordination when authorized.
This full-time, regular employee position based in Kyle, Texas, offers a competitive hourly wage range between $23.85 and $32.79, reflecting factors such as experience, education, and certifications.                 - High school diploma or equivalent
 - Graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program meeting state requirements
 - Currently licensed or certified in the assigned state as EMT-Paramedic
 - Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification
 - Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
 - Satisfactorily complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
 - Two years of clinical or hospital experience
