Delivery timelines are important, with Next-Day Deliveries scheduled by 6 pm the previous day and Same-Day Deliveries executed by 12 noon on the day of delivery. This responsibility ensures that customers receive their orders promptly, maintaining satisfaction and loyalty. This position requires the ability to develop an efficient daily delivery schedule based on orders and store transfers as well as create daily routing that maximizes delivery efficiency. Accuracy in order handling is critical, requiring careful review of orders during pickup and adherence to any specific delivery instructions. The Delivery Driver will utilize various proprietary tools such as the Acehardware.com Ordering System (KIBO), ACENET Delivery & Repair Tool, and the Ace Retailer app to manage delivery tasks and finalize orders upon completion. Additionally, inventory management through Epicor is part of the daily routine to support smooth operations between stores. Maintaining the delivery vehicle’s mechanical condition and appearance is also a vital part of the role. Regular daily inspections, weekly fluid checks, and adherence to the vehicle maintenance schedule including oil changes and tire rotations ensure reliability and professional presentation. Beyond deliveries, the driver may be tasked with assembly projects related to store orders or products held in the Centralized Fulfillment Annex. This adds a layer of versatility to the role, demonstrating the company's emphasis on teamwork and multi-tasking. The role includes occasional assistance to the base store's sales floor or involvement in special company projects and events, which may involve driving a box truck, assembly support, or marketing and operations tasks. This broad range of duties ensures the Delivery Driver is an integral part of the store operations and overall customer experience. To be successful, candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurance.
