CEVA Logistics is currently offering a position for a skilled and safety-conscious driver, with a pay rate starting at $20.24. This role is crucial as it involves operating medium to heavy trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 to 26,000 pounds to transport cargo to and from various destinations including customer locations, airlines, and trucking terminals. The driver's commitment to safety and efficiency is paramount, as they must adhere strictly to all safety rules and Department of Transportation regulations. The role requires not only driving expertise but also customer service skills, as the driver acts as a messenger and representative of the company, maintaining excellent service to both internal and external customers. Responsibilities include the secure loading and unloading of freight using forklifts and pallet jacks, safeguarding company equipment and cargo against damage and theft, and ensuring all transportation documentation is accurate and up to date. Additionally, the driver is required to maintain continuous communication with the dispatch office and promptly report any delays or emergencies. • High school diploma or GED
• Minimum one year related experience
• Minimum 5 years industry driving experience may be substituted for a high school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English
• Valid state issued Class C driver's license issued by the driver's home state of residence
• Acceptable driving record as defined by DOT regulations, TSA regulations and company policy
• Forklift driver certification
• DOT dangerous goods and hazardous materials certification
• Must be bondable
