This sector includes securing funding, early-stage planning, and construction of new facilities for various aviation clients such as municipal and general aviation airports, small to medium hub airports, airlines, and airport tenants. The role emphasizes delivering seamless, cost-effective project coordination that significantly impacts the communities served by these projects. The successful candidate will engage deeply in a variety of airport projects, working on planning, environmental consulting, design, and airport management initiatives. These projects may range in scale from small general aviation airports to large facilities certified under FAA FAR Part 139 regulations. Responsibilities include business development, research, analysis, technical writing, and engaging with the public to facilitate airport project execution, all while adhering to FAA regulations and industry guidelines. This position offers the flexibility of being based in any of DOWL’s offices located in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, or Arizona, accommodating professionals from diverse regions interested in advancing their careers within the aviation infrastructure sector.
This role is ideal for a dynamic seller/manager passionate about winning and managing comprehensive airport projects from inception through completion. It requires a blend of technical acumen and leadership to oversee multiple phases of aviation projects such as planning, environmental assessment, design, consultation, and management services. Candidates will utilize advanced software tools including Microsoft Office and specialized market sector applications like AutoCAD, noise modeling software, and ADIP. Expertise in technical fundamentals and the ability to craft unique solutions to complex challenges is essential. The position also mandates leadership qualities including mentoring and quality control, ensuring that deliverables meet rigorous standards.
Effective teamwork and communication are pivotal, as the role demands collaboration with internal teams and direct client interaction on large, complex projects. The candidate will lead technical client meetings, ensuring clear messaging and addressing legal considerations appropriately.
