The Dishwasher/Busser position plays a vital role in supporting the City’s food services operations by ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and dining areas throughout the front and back of house. Under the direction of the Chef, this individual performs janitorial and support tasks that keep both kitchen and dining environments running smoothly, hygienically, and efficiently. Responsibilities include both manual and machine cleaning of tableware, pots, pans, and glassware, as well as restocking and resetting dining areas in preparation for service. This position demands diligence in maintaining health and safety standards, complying with sanitation regulations, and contributing to the overall customer experience by supporting the kitchen and dining operations. Additionally, the Dishwasher/Busser will assist in preparing kitchen and dining spaces for upcoming shifts by thoroughly cleaning and restocking preparation and cooking stations. Occasional support in hot and cold food prep work enriches the role's variety, making it integral to the smooth functionality of food service operations. Employees in this position receive additional compensation in the form of a percentage of service fees collected from sales, paid bi-weekly. These fees are calculated based on hours worked and total sales during the pay period, and include both daily dining and group or special event dining. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and efficiency of dining services offered by the City of Palm Beach Gardens, helping to uphold its reputation for excellence in public service and community hospitality.

• High school diploma or general education degree preferred
• Related experience and/or training
• Hands-on experience with industrial washing and cleaning equipment
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• ServSafe Food Handler certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire
• Valid State of Florida Driver's License with a good driving record
