We are currently seeking a full-time Prep Person for the evening shift (11:00 AM to 7:30 PM) to join our dietary team. This position is pivotal in ensuring the daily preparation and service of meals meet all federal, state, and local food safety regulations and our established internal policies. The ideal candidate must have previous kitchen assistant experience specifically within a long-term care environment to be considered for this role. The Prep Person will operate under the guidance of the Head Cook and Dietary Services Manager, playing a crucial role in maintaining a clean kitchen environment and supporting the smooth operation of meal preparation and delivery. The schedule offers every other weekend off, providing a balance between professional responsibilities and personal life. In this role, the Prep Person will assist with the preparation of meals following planned menus, ensuring that the food served is not only nutritious but also visually appealing and appetizing. They will be responsible for weighing and serving food according to established portion control procedures and preparing food tailored to therapeutic diets as prescribed. Attention to detail and adherence to food safety procedures are essential aspects of the job, along with fulfilling administrative duties such as completing necessary documentation and reports required by the Dietary Services Manager. This role offers a competitive hourly salary ranging from $14.00 to $16.00, reflecting the candidate's experience and expertise in the field.
