The Dishwasher role at The Ivy at Hawaii Kai is an essential hospitality position that supports the overall smooth functioning of the kitchen and dining services. This part-time or full-time employment opportunity provides hourly pay ranging from $16 to $19, with required availability over weekends and holidays. The position plays a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen items are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly. This contributes to the overall safety and health standards of the community, making it a vital support function.
Responsibilities include preparing the dishroom prior to meal services, transporting dishes to the kitchen for washing and sanitizing, assisting in cleaning the kitchen and dining areas, and maintaining a safe environment for staff and residents alike. Additionally, dishwasher team members are expected to respond professionally and compassionately to any resident concerns or complaints, demonstrating the company’s overarching values in every interaction. - Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer six (6) months of experience working in a kitchen or similar setting
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
- Willingness to vaccinate and comply with health and safety protocols as required
- Availability for weekends and holidays
