Candidates must be able to lift and carry heavy items such as dish racks, pots, pans, and bus tubs weighing up to 50 pounds regularly. They must also be comfortable working in environments with wet floors, loud noise, and extreme temperatures. The Dishwasher is responsible for setting up and breaking down dishwashing machines, ensuring they operate correctly, performing preventive maintenance, and reporting any defects immediately to avoid kitchen disruptions. Aside from technical duties, the Dishwasher must maintain the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the dishroom. This includes proper soaking and washing of pots, pans, and silverware, verifying water temperatures to meet sanitary standards, removing trash responsibly, cleaning garbage cans, and keeping the detergent area organized with dry floors. Teamwork is essential, and the dishwasher works closely with all kitchen personnel, contributing positively to the establishment’s success. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned by management.
