Tulsa, OK, USA, OK Full-Time $14 - $16
Nothing Bundt Cakes is a renowned bakery franchise specializing in handcrafted, high-quality cakes that are perfect for any celebration. Established with a passion for baking and a commitment to excellent customer service, Nothing Bundt Cakes has grown to over 500 locations across more than 40 U.S. states and Canada. Each bakery location is dedicated to providing a warm, welcoming environment where guests can enjoy delicious, freshly made cakes crafted from the finest ingredients. Known for its unique bundt cakes, the brand has built a loyal customer base by consistently delivering exceptional products and memorable experiences. The franchise model allows individual franchise owners and operators to bring this beloved bakery concept to their local communities while adhering to the high standards established by the corporate brand. The role of Dishwasher and Utility at Nothing Bundt Cakes in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is a vital position that ensures the bakery operates smoothly and maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This full-time position is based in a busy bakery located in the Vineyard shopping center in South Tulsa and includes a competitive hourly wage ranging from $14.00 to $15.50, reflective of the importance of the role and the skill required. The working hours are primarily Monday through Friday, with a need for occasional Saturday shifts during periods of high business volume and additional hours during key holiday seasons such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day. This role heavily emphasizes manual dishwashing practices, given the sensitive nature of the bakery’s dishes and utensils, requiring the dishwasher to wash, rinse, and sanitize all baking pans, dishes, and tools by hand using a three-compartment sink and abiding by both Nothing Bundt Cakes' standards and local health department regulations. Beyond dishwashing, this position also involves assisting the baking team with production needs and routine cleaning tasks within the bakery. These duties include obtaining and maintaining a clean, organized workstation, cleaning various bakery areas including refrigerators, chillers, break areas, ovens, and bathrooms, as well as managing inventory and restocking cleaning supplies. The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old, and while no prior experience is necessary due to on-site training provided, those with previous bakery or restaurant kitchen experience are highly valued. The candidate must be capable of obtaining a food handler’s permit after hiring, demonstrate the physical ability to perform repetitive manual tasks, have the strength to lift items up to 50 pounds frequently, and be able to stand for extended periods. Moreover, this role requires a meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining hygiene and safety standards. Team collaboration is crucial, as the Dishwasher/Utility team member not only supports the cleaning and sanitization of the bakery but also assists other team members and the baking staff as needed. With a focus on punctuality and consistent attendance, this position offers growth opportunities including cross-training into other bakery roles. Benefits include a competitive salary, employee discounts, health insurance, and ongoing training and development opportunities. Joining Nothing Bundt Cakes means becoming part of a joyful, community-oriented team where employees embody a Servant’s Heart and the Spirit of a Champion while making genuine connections with customers and colleagues alike. This role offers a stable and supportive work environment where individuals can thrive and contribute to making every celebration sweeter.
