The Wellness and Life Enrichment Coordinator Supervisor plays a crucial leadership role within Wyndstone's team. This full-time position is responsible for developing, coordinating, leading, implementing, and monitoring wellness and life enrichment programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of its residents. The role goes beyond program management to include the supervision and coordination of Wellness/Life Enrichment Coordinators, Administrative Assistants, and Bus Drivers to ensure proper staffing coverage and delivery of exemplary service throughout the community. This role involves a combination of hands-on involvement with residents, team leadership, and administrative duties to maintain a high standard of wellness programming.
This position requires planning and coordinating engaging activities that cater to residents in multiple levels of care, fostering a culture focused on health, fitness, and overall well-being. The Wellness and Life Enrichment Coordinator Supervisor actively works to innovate program offerings, preventing resident participation burnout and encouraging full engagement in daily activities and wellness classes. A deep understanding of the Seven Dimensions of Wellness informs all aspects of program design and execution to ensure residents’ physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, occupational, and environmental well-being are addressed comprehensively.
Besides coordinating activities, the supervisor will also lead various exercise classes and group events, coordinate transportation for off-campus outings using campus vehicles, and maintain strong relationships with residents, staff, volunteers, families, and vendors. Effective communication skills are essential, as the supervisor regularly creates calendars, promotional materials, and daily communications to keep residents informed and involved. Supporting volunteer engagement through collaboration with volunteer services staff is another important aspect of the role, along with participating in employee recognition programs to foster staff morale.
The supervisory responsibilities include hiring, orienting, coaching, evaluating, and disciplining assigned staff. The Wellness and Life Enrichment Coordinator Supervisor ensures appropriate schedule coverage, minimizes overtime, and upholds high standards of customer service, personnel accountability, and professional appearance within the team. Part of the role's mission focus includes actively supporting the Eden Alternative philosophy and St. John's customer service guidelines, which emphasize courteous, immediate, and empathetic service interactions.
Candidates for this position must demonstrate an ability to work independently and as part of a team, efficiently manage time and tasks, and maintain a friendly and energetic demeanor to motivate residents and staff alike. Physical demands include the ability to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The role also requires a valid Montana driver’s license, with a Commercial Driver’s License endorsement preferred, and a strong driving record due to transportation responsibilities.
