The Food Service Employee - Cold Food role at LSG Sky Chefs involves preparing airline meals according to specific recipes and airline specifications. This includes slicing, chopping, assembling, wrapping, and packing cold food dishes and meals, then loading airline catering carts with fully prepared food trays. Employees in this capacity are essential to ensuring that all food products meet safety, hygiene, and quality standards, complying with strict food handling guidelines. This role demands precision, speed, and the ability to adaptable to changing priorities in a highly active environment. Workers will engage in tasks that require physical stamina such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and moving food items that may weigh over 50 pounds. The position provides steady, full-time employment with at least 40 hours per week plus overtime opportunities, ensuring consistent weekly pay and potential for advancement from within the company.
