This role is an exciting opportunity to join Life Time’s team as a Pickleball Instructor, where you will play a pivotal role in teaching private pickleball lessons and organizing group programs aimed at skill development and community building. The position demands a passionate and knowledgeable instructor who embraces a student-centered approach and rally-based teaching methods to help players improve their game effectively. In addition to instruction, you will coordinate pickleball leagues and mixers that engage members in competitive and social activities, fostering a deeper connection to the sport and the facility.
As a Pickleball Instructor at Life Time, you are expected to manage a substantial on-court teaching schedule, averaging over 30 hours weekly combined between pickleball and tennis. Your role goes beyond instruction to include the development of safe, professional, and comprehensive lesson plans tailored to different skill levels, ensuring that every participant experiences steady progress along their athletic journey. Creating exceptional member experiences is paramount, achieved by involving members in tournaments, programs, and special events that showcase the sport’s appeal and the club’s vibrant community.
Moreover, you will work collaboratively with Membership Advisors and the Member Activities team to foster sales efforts that integrate pickleball as a vital component of the overarching Life Time brand. This role also involves maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and good working condition of tennis facilities and equipment adapted for pickleball use. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, demonstrating a member-centric approach to customer service that encourages repeat business and referrals. Commitment to professional development includes obtaining certification through recognized organizations such as the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) or the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) within six months of hire.
This hourly position offers a competitive pay structure starting at $15 per hour or minimum wage, whichever is higher, complemented by a 40 percent service incentive on eligible on-court revenue generated.
