The role of Senior Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) Engineer at Swanson Rink is an opportunity to join a high-performing team engaged with exciting, complex projects for high-profile clients in the aviation sector. This position entails leading and managing the analysis, design, and construction administration of baggage handling systems to airports across the United States. As a pivotal member of the project teams—composed of support engineers, BIM staff, and project managers—the Senior Engineer is expected to provide technical leadership, mentoring, and ensure solutions align with stringent security, operational, and performance standards such as TSA Program Guideline Design Standards (PGDS). The Senior Engineer will guide the entire project lifecycle from initial calculations and throughput analysis to product selection, system layout, control system design, cost estimation, and commissioning. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of checked baggage inspection systems, with responsibilities including oversight of testing and commissioning to satisfy TSA’s iSAT requirements and client expectations.   • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in design of aviation checked baggage inspection systems
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills

  • Ability to pass background checks, security screenings, and drug testing as required by TSA and Federal contracts
