As a Banquet Server at Hollywood Casino & Hotel, a part of PENN Entertainment, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest service during banquet events. This on-call position offers a competitive hourly pay starting at $6.875 plus tips, with average earnings ranging from $22 to $24 per hour. Your responsibilities will include setting up buffet lines and banquet breaks with the appropriate equipment, supplies, and décor, as well as preparing and serving plated meals and beverages to guests. You will ensure optimal guest satisfaction by anticipating and responding to their needs efficiently throughout the event. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the workspace during and after functions is essential, as is coordinating with banquet staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure seamless operations. The role requires a positive attitude, the ability to work independently and under pressure, and adherence to company and regulatory policies. Becoming TiPS (alcohol awareness) certified is a mandatory part of this role. The position is ideal for individuals with previous banquet or restaurant service experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences. Open availability to work during the holiday season from December 1st to December 23rd is required. Physical mobility and the ability to perform various tasks such as lifting, bending, and balancing are necessary to meet the demands of this active role. - Applicant must be at least 18 years of age
- previous banquet and/or restaurant service experience
- knowledge of proper restaurant sanitation procedures
- outgoing personality with exceptional work habits
- must have open availability to work Holiday Season (December 1st through December 23rd)
- must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills
- basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals
- ability to respond to visual and aural cues
