The Custodian/CSR role at SBM entails a diverse range of responsibilities centered on both custodial duties and customer service excellence. This hybrid role emphasizes not only physical upkeep of premises including floor care, surface cleaning, waste management, and light maintenance but also effective communication with coworkers and customers, ensuring daily operations run smoothly. The successful candidate must be capable of understanding and following both oral and written instructions, demonstrating good judgement in decision-making, and occasionally providing guidance to new employees or demonstrating work processes.
The schedule for this role is structured with shifts available from Tuesday to Saturday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM, and Sunday to Thursday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM. The compensation ranges between $16.50 and $17.50 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to providing competitive wages for their employees. Beyond routine custodial duties, the Custodian/CSR will be responsible for specialized tasks like cleaning glass surfaces, polishing metal and wood, organizing janitorial supplies, and restocking common areas. They must comply strictly with safety protocols, use personal protective equipment appropriately, and exhibit professionalism at all times. The role requires transporting small equipment and maintaining various facility areas, including lobbies, conference rooms, restrooms, elevators, and break rooms.
