The Customs Operations Specialist (Starlink) role is a critical position within the Starlink Logistics team, responsible for managing international import operations and navigating complex customs regulations to ensure Starlink’s products reach customers timely. This full-time, onsite position based in Bastrop, TX, centers around coordinating daily import activities including interactions with customs brokers, vendors, freight forwarders, and couriers. The specialist will assign accurate tariff classifications such as Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes and Schedule B numbers, ensuring compliance with international trade laws and government agency requirements including those from the FDA, EPA, and others.
Candidates in this role will play an essential part in maintaining regulatory compliance by conducting thorough document reviews and audits of customs entries, ensuring accurate record keeping per legal guidelines. The position demands a detail-oriented and analytical mindset to spot improvement opportunities that streamline import processes. Furthermore, the specialist will collaborate across teams and external partners to resolve customs clearance issues promptly, maintain smooth supply chain functions, and support ongoing system and process improvements.
