The Customs Brokerage Specialist position at Yusen Logistics plays a critical role in supporting the Import Manager with customs brokerage activities to ensure full compliance with U.S. customs laws and company compliance programs. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities including processing complex Customs House Broker (CHB) entries, advocating for high-volume customers, and providing expert support for customs audits and compliance assessments. The specialist acts as an important liaison interfacing with government agencies, maintaining positive relationships, and assisting in the maintenance of customer bonds and Powers of Attorney (POAs). This role requires a meticulous approach to maintaining customer classification databases, preparing post-entry documentation, and providing guidance on U.S. importing regulations both internally and to customers.
