This position is responsible for preparing food items in both the kitchen and concession stands during events, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality service for all functions hosted at the venue. The ideal candidate will be experienced in food preparation, knowledgeable about health and safety standards, and capable of maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and associated areas. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen and event staff. The Kitchen Worker/Cook will support the setup and breakdown of banquet buffets, clean all kitchen equipment and utensils, and uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety throughout the facility. - At least two years of experience in a food and beverage environment
- Ability to work well and as a team with other staff members
- Must be results oriented with the ability to meet the required timelines
- Must be knowledgeable of and adhere to local health codes
- Ability to be creative with food presentations and maintain a quality product
- Have an exceptional attention to detail
- Understanding of basic personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Ability to stoop, lift, walk and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 30lbs on a regular basis
