The Customs Brokerage Specialist position is a full-time role based in Dallas, Texas or El Paso, Texas within DHL's Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Team. In this critical role, the specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate completion and submission of customs entry documentation within the customs database system on behalf of DHL’s diverse customer base. The specialist plays a vital role in maintaining compliance with customs regulations and managing the flow of goods into and out of Foreign Trade Zones, which helps facilitate efficient logistics operations and customs clearance. This position requires a strong understanding of customs laws and regulations specific to Foreign Trade Zones, including admission applications, zone status reporting, and customs documentation retention. The specialist will coordinate closely with internal teams such as procurement, logistics, and operations, as well as external partners including customs authorities and FTZ administrators. Key responsibilities include managing the receiving and shipping of goods within the FTZ, identifying and mitigating customs compliance risks, and continuously improving FTZ processes through automation and efficiency initiatives. The role offers competitive pay based on location and experience, ranging from $23.36 to $31.14 per hour in Dallas, TX, and $15.00 to $23.85 per hour in El Paso, TX.
