The role requires maintaining the highest level of customer service while performing housekeeping duties, ensuring all accommodations meet stringent cleanliness and maintenance standards. This position supports the successful operation of the lodging facilities by enhancing guests' experiences through careful attention to detail and adherence to established policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals, and awareness of safety regulations such as those communicated in Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Understanding the standards specific to the Recreational Lodging program is essential, as is the ability to operate various in-room appliances including coffee makers, televisions, clock radios, and telephones. This position also demands proficiency with Property Management System (PMS) and Point of Sale (POS) software to keep room status information up to date.
An important aspect of this role is task management and communication. The incumbent must be capable of prioritizing work while respecting guest requests such as No Service or Do-Not-Disturb orders. Clear and effective communication skills both verbally and in writing are required to coordinate with management, fellow staff members, and guests. This role does not have a positive education requirement, making it accessible to a wide range of applicants who meet the experience and ability criteria.
