As an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), it requires a commitment to a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The Culinary Systems Manager plays a critical role in the operational success of UCCS Dining and Hospitality Services by overseeing all aspects of supply chain management, technology integration, and culinary quality control. In this role, the Culinary Systems Manager will be responsible for coordinating ordering processes, managing inventory, monitoring food quality and cost logistics, and ensuring efficient material handling. The position demands strong collaboration with DHS chefs, managers, suppliers, and technology vendors to negotiate pricing, initiate food-saving strategies, and implement innovative products and sustainable sourcing practices. The manager will also maintain and troubleshoot dining technology systems, including CBORD NetMenu and point-of-sale systems, ensuring that menus, recipes, nutritional information, allergens, and costing data are accurate and current. Beyond operational duties, the Culinary Systems Manager oversees up to five student employees, emphasizing professional development and student employment opportunities.
