Feast & Fettle is currently hiring a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor to join their Culinary Operations Center team in East Providence, Rhode Island. This full-time role works from Thursday through Monday from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am and demands a hands-on leadership approach in a high-volume food manufacturing environment. The Production Supervisor is a vital role responsible for managing day-to-day kitchen operations during the overnight shift, ensuring all activities align with quality standards, safety policies, and production efficiencies.
In this role, the supervisor will lead a diverse team of hourly employees across several key production kitchen stations, including ovens, tilt skillets, flat tops, and slicers, overseeing industrial kitchen equipment usage to maintain smooth workflow and peak performance. Key responsibilities include assigning daily station roles, monitoring production pace and quality against batch recipes and production plans, upholding stringent food safety standards, and collaborating with Culinary Leadership and Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) teams to resolve operational issues swiftly. Supervisors support new employee onboarding and training, foster a positive kitchen environment, and exemplify professional communication, teamwork, and accountability. The role is physically demanding, requiring long hours on foot and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, reflecting the fast-paced and dynamic nature of a large-scale food production kitchen.
Feast & Fettle seeks candidates with proven experience in kitchen leadership, particularly within large-scale food production, commissary kitchens, or food manufacturing environments. Candidates must demonstrate exemplary leadership skills, the ability to manage teams effectively in high-volume settings, and a strong commitment to food safety, batch cooking procedures, and recipe execution. Organizational skills, resilience under pressure, and technical proficiency in learning new systems and processes are critical to success. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred due to the company’s multilingual team environment. ServSafe certification is also preferred, with in-house food safety training provided during onboarding.
