As a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger, your primary responsibility will be to assist customers by bagging groceries efficiently and carefully, ensuring items are protected and packed thoughtfully to avoid damage. This role requires good communication skills to inform customers about grocery specials and to answer any questions they may have about store products, helping create a positive shopping experience. In addition to bagging groceries, you will be involved in various tasks supporting store operations, including assisting customers with carrying bags to their vehicles, performing shelf conditioning, returning merchandise to shelves, and maintaining cleanliness both inside the store and in the parking lot. You will also be expected to help with seasonal merchandise assembly and assist with equipment inspections as part of preventive maintenance. Kroger values safety and integrity; therefore, you will play a crucial role in reinforcing safety procedures, identifying any unsafe conditions or equipment issues, and promptly notifying management.
