As a Cook at Arden Courts, you will play a critical role in preparing appetizing and nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. The ideal candidate will assist the Culinary Services Coordinator in managing daily food service operations, ensuring the highest level of cleanliness, safety, and food quality. This position demands tact, sensitivity, and professionalism to handle the unique needs of elderly residents, including those with dementia. Our Cook helps foster an environment of industry-leading service delivery by maintaining a safe kitchen environment and following state and local food safety regulations. - high School diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food preparation
- knowledge and experience working with elderly
- food service sanitation certificate according to state or local requirements
- ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- basic reading and writing skills
- ability to speak English in an understandable manner
